Engineer and designer. I have built software since 2013 and worked with data and models for as long: trading bots, face recognition, medical search, AI harnesses for development teams. These days I also run a small studio in Belgrade.

Trading bots

Bots for MetaTrader

In 2013 I wrote bots for automated trading in MetaTrader. Each one traded on a weighted sum of market indicators and corrected those weights by itself.

The project came from someone I knew through the Go community.

Rostelecom

Big data on a telecom network

From 2014 I worked at Rostelecom while still studying at the College of Communications and Energy. Day to day that meant network administration on Cisco and MikroTik, and data on top of it: load balancing across routers and the statistics behind it.

In 2016 I also programmed modules for a digital telephone exchange.

Web and science

Python, Django and a permafrost institute

In 2017 I took freelance web projects and started a degree in informatics and computing at North-Eastern Federal University. Python and Django became my main tools.

The same year I joined the Melnikov Permafrost Institute part-time. Over the following years I grew from engineer to lead and moved the institute's web platform off an old Joomla site to Django and Wagtail.

Biometrics

Face recognition at a bank

In 2018 I moved to a bank to work on face recognition. We built a biometric system for the bank's own employees.

That is where I took statistics seriously and studied it properly.

Medtech

Medicine, models and a company of my own

From 2019 I worked on medical projects with AI. Most of the work was about speed: fast search over a medical database so that calculations finished sooner. Today that pattern has a name, RAG.

In 2020 I founded Mondino Technologies to make digital health tools, mobile apps and clinical platforms.

Osher Tech, Yakutsk

CTO of a product company

In 2021 I became CTO of Osher Tech. The company researches, designs and builds products for large businesses and the state, and I put its engineering team together from scratch.

We ran several projects at once: medical, government and commercial platforms, delivery apps, courier management and CRM tools. I owned the architecture across all of them.

AIST Tech and a bank

Construction tech, and an AI chat for a bank

In 2022 I co-founded AIST Tech. Its platform, AISTstroy, manages and controls building work through the whole construction cycle. I supervised the development of the company's CRM and took part in strategy and the early architecture.

In parallel I went back to banking: I added an AI chat to the bank's website and connected it to telephony, integrating ready-made providers.

Vash Investor

Head of development at a lending company

In 2023 I joined Vash Investor, a company that lends money against cars, as head of development. I was responsible for the public website, the company's internal processes and the management of development itself.

We replaced outsourced contractors with an in-house team, and features started shipping two to three times faster. A re-architecture cut deployment times, and we built client portals and partner dashboards.

Sunlight

Logistics and an AI harness

Since 2024 I have been a backend developer at Sunlight, a jewellery retail chain; from 2025 the work runs on GRI, the group's digital platform. My main area is the logistics module: microservices for shipment tracking and integrations with carriers such as DPD and CSE.

Next to the backend I build the team's AI harness: an AI code review system that is part of the company's process, and internal guides on working with Cursor and then Claude Code.

Since 2026 I have worked on the AI workflow at Kodland, an online school where kids aged 8 to 17 learn programming and design.

Belgrade

A studio in Belgrade

I live in Belgrade and run a registered studio here, Viktor Pavlov PR Beograd. Through it we currently support Sunlight and Kodland.

The studio also takes design and build projects: I draw the interface in Figma and ship it myself, so the design you approve is the one that goes live. Contracts and invoices are simple for clients in Serbia and the EU.

Services

What I take on

Backend and AI work under a B2B contract, or a product from first sketch to a live link.

  1. 01

    Backend and architecture

Python services on Django or FastAPI, carrier and payment integrations, legacy code brought back under control.

  2. 02

    AI in a product

LLM features built on LangChain and LangGraph, search over your own data, AI review wired into how the team ships.

  3. 03

    Product design

Interfaces for apps and web products: flows, screens, states and the edge cases nobody asks about until launch.

  4. 04

    Design systems

Tokens, components and rules a team can actually build on, documented in Figma and matched to the code.

  5. 05

    Web design & build

Sites designed and shipped. Next.js on Vercel, responsive down to a phone, live on a link you can open today.

  6. 06

    Brand & art direction

Identity, icons, illustration direction and the pieces around a product: covers, promo pages, sticker sets.

Tell me about your project.
